The Snyder Duo 33 Week Update.
Today: 33 weeks 5 days.
According to my sources the babies are about the size of pineapples. Making them about 19-22 inches long and 4.9 lbs each. I did have an ultrasound on Tuesday that showed Shepard was about 4.4 lbs. and Sara Kate was about 4.11 lbs. So they look to be right on track.
At my 30 week appointment I was +20. I did not ask on Tuesday but I think I am + 26 right now. I am feeling HUGE. My belly is so big and it is so hard to find shirts to fit over it. I go every week now, so I will try to remember to ask next week about the gainage.
Are you kidding? I am running out of maternity clothes. They are all getting too small. My shirts are too short, my pants are cutting me in half and I am trying really hard to look professional at school when all I really want to wear is Stuart's pajama pants. I am trying to now wear things that cover my swollen ankles because if they are exposed I get ALL KINDS of comments like " Are you sure you should be working?", " You need to put your feet up", " Have you had your blood pressure checked". So it is much easier to just cover them up. Yes, they are swollen. Yes, it stinks. No, my blood pressure is fine and my doctor is not worried so neither am I. I go every week for a check up. If he tells me to stop working I will, but for now he thinks I am fine. So that is what I am going to go with. But, they are HUGE and at night (like right now) I am trying very hard to sit at least for a little while with them up to help them go down.
See! I am not kidding. Much easier just to keep them covered. |
It is getting harder and harder to sleep. My belly is so heavy that my back gets very sore if I lay on one side for too long. Last night I slept in the chair from about 3am-5am to try to remedy, but it was not much better. I have been going to bed earlier than normal to try to make up for all the lost sleep in the middle of the night. I am not a zombie during the day so I must be getting enough sleep. I still get up about 5 times a night to go to the bathroom too.
I am feeling good just swollen. People ask me ALL-THE-TIME when I am due because I do look like I might pop at any moment. :) I have had all kinds of heartburn so maybe these two will have LOTS of hair like their big brother. I still have very restless legs and this makes sitting with my feet up at night VERY difficult, so that is why I have been going to be earlier- just to avoid it. My days are not uncomfortable. I can work all day and I do just fine. Yes, I go to the bathroom more. Yes, I sit more. Yes, it is very hard to go up 3 flights of stairs after lunch without getting winded- but other than that I am doing good and taking it all one day at a time.
They are moving all the time. I can usually guarantee movement once I sit down. I can see almost every movement from the outside. Just sitting here typing this my belly is moving all over the place. I still get a kick out of watching it. It really is quite the site to be seen. Tonight Shepard had hiccups and Clark and Stuart got to feel them. Clark laughed out loud! It was very cute for him to interact with his little brother. Sara Kate is very low so I do not see or feel her movement as much as I do his. She might be the reason I have to go to the bathroom everytime I stand up, but I do feel her quite as much- I don't think.
The hiccups moment that just happened is high on the list. That was super cute.
Another great moment was seeing them on Tuesday at my ultrasound. They both scored an A+ on all accounts and just seeing them and hearing how good they were doing put my mind at ease and made me one proud momma! I did not get to see any cute profile shots, fingers or toes, but I did get to see them and know they are moving around, hearts are strong and they look great.
I also had a diaper shower at school and we got all kinds of diapers and wipes! It was a cookies and milk shower after school on Wednesday. I was overwhelmed by the generosity of my co-workers. Not only did we get tons of diapers and wipes, but we got many other cute things too! It was awesome!! I really do work with the greatest staff in town.
Check out the closet AFTER the shower! So excited- we know we will be using LOTS. |
Food Cravings:
I have been eating lots of candy corn and lots of crushed ice. Both of those things have made me very happy the last week or so. I am pretty sure I could eat an entire cooler of crushed ice. Loving it.
What I Miss:
I still miss Jazzercise. I miss bending over easily. I miss sleeping on my belly. I miss having lots of energy. I miss clothes that fit and having ankles! :) Looking Forward To:
- Putting the finishing touches on their room this weekend!!
- Having a 3 day weekend with no agenda and hoping to get some rest.
- Getting to meet them VERY soon!
you look adorable!!! So glad you're doing well. Drink lots of fluids and keep those feet up!! :)
