Pumpkin Pickin'

This weekend was MY BIRTHDAY!! (I may post about that later.) I was super busy running our MOPS Consignment Sale. I was there from 6:45 am - 10:45 pm on Friday and from 7:15 am - 8:15 pm on Saturday. Needless to say I was am exhausted. It was a little stressful but so much fun and we raised a lot of money for our MOPS ministry. So I would call it a very successful weekend. My parents came and helped out SO MUCH with the sale and with Clark. They also took me out to eat on Saturday night after the sale and bought me much needed margaritas! They stayed with us and and today we went to brunch and to the pumpkin patch. The last time we went to the pumpkin patch with them was when Clark was 3 months old- so let's just say that this time he was a little more mobile! He was wild and he was fun! It was the first day that really felt like fall- the weather was what I would call perfect! The cool weather and the fall themed day encouraged me to come home and decorate my mantel and my porch all fall-like and I am lovin' it.  Enjoy these pictures of my first day of being 29!ha!

Party Animal

September is a great month to have a birthday! We know so many wonderful people who were born in the month of September (including me!). We have been to lots of birthday parties this month and still have a few more to go. Our weekends have been packed full of fun and this one was no exception. Yesterday we celebrated with our friend Ben from next door - he had a Thomas party to celebrate turning 2- Anything Thomas is a big hit with Clark!

Today we celebrated with Christian as he turned 2. It was a FANTASTIC party and we loved it. Christian's mommy is a dear friend of mine from college and she did a great job with the construction themed party. The details were extra cute and I was snapping pictures left and right. (As if that is different than any other day!ha!) I had so much fun watching all the little guys run around. They even had a trackhoe on site for the kids to sit on! Clark talked about it the whole way home.

Here is some evidence of the cuteness of the party and proof that a good time was had by all:

The cake table- The dump truck was filled with dirt cake! It could not be cuter!

Check out the construction cone cupcakes.

Loved these too!
Made from mini candy bars, teddy grahams & mini M & Ms!

The kids got to decorate and take construction hats.
They also gave them little construction vehicles as favors.

The favors said:
"So glad you came and joined the crew to celebrate Christian turning 2".
My party animal in his cute little hat!

This was by far the highlight of the day for Clark & Mickey.

C making sure Mickey gets a chance to steer.

(Look at the dump truck full of goldfish on the kiddo table! )

As you can see, the weekend was great. Let the countdown begin...9/25 will mark my last birthday in my twenties & I can't wait. Have a GREAT week!!

Fall Fun Begins!

It is beginning to look a lot like Fall and I like it! Fall is my most favorite season! Yesterday we had planned to go to the local apple orchard for the Apple Festival, but it rained on and off all day. So we went today after church. I was a little concerned that without a nap C would be a little monster, but he was great. He was sooooooo busy the entire time we were there. He was non-stop. One of us was always tailing behind him as he darted in every direction. I am not kidding when I say this kid may have a future in track and field. HE IS F-A-S-T!

We ate a yummy lunch, played on the playground, checked out the pumpkins, strolled through the vendors (where I bought 10 yummy smelling tarts for my classroom tart warmer- we are talking scents like Orange Sherbet and Lemon Cake!), got lost in the corn maze (yikes), checked out all the animals (they had a camel you could ride on- among other things), went up and down the "Cider Slider" roughly a dozen times, played on the hay castle, ran around in the tractor tire maze, fed the goats, watched some bees make honey, measured how tall we were and drank some yummy apple cider. This place is WONDERFUL. It is one of the reasons I love fall in The Bluegrass. We opted out of apple picking, but we will be back in a few weeks for some PUMPKINS! Let the countdown begin!!

Like I said, this kid was on the move.
Here are some of the pictures I managed to snap!

I promise he was having fun! ha!

Love this one of my guys!
Check out that hair!

We let Clark lead. I was not sure we were ever going to find our way out.
We even tried to calling Toodles for a Mousekatool!
(Total Mickey Mouse Clubhouse refrence in case you were wondering.)

It was a fun day & I am looking forward to so many more like this!

HAPPY GRANDPARENTS' DAY!

Perfect Pizza

HOW TO MAKE A PIZZA.
By: Chef Clark

Step 1: Have your mommy whip up some crust.
(My mommy uses Kroger brand or WalMart brand-
she uses 2 mixes when we make pizza on the stone.)
Step 2: Help her flatten it out on the pan.

Step 3: Spread out the sauce.
(As you can see I like to use the two spoon approach.)

Step 4: Add Toppings
(We added fresh mushrooms and ham tonight.)

Step 5: Add the cheese.

Step 6: Spread the cheese around.
(Then stop and say cheese so your momma can take your picture!)

Step 7: Bake in the oven
(This step is no fun. I do not like to wait on it to cook.)

Step 8: Enjoy pizza while watching Mickey Mouse Road Rally with your mommy while waiting for your daddy to get home from work. It is a GREAT way to spend a Tuesday night.
