Breakfast with the Ponies.

Saturday we woke up much earlier than I would have liked but it was for good reason. We made our way to one of our favorite places- KEENELAND. This was a little different trip than we were used to. Keeneland is a horse race track in Lexington where during live meets Mr. Snyder and I spent lots of time in college. I worked there as a mutual clerk and we loved spending weekends tailgating and hanging out with friends. Saturday we decided to take our little man to the track to check out the ponies. During live meets it is soooo crowded and not an easy place to take a wild two year old, but they do have a fun event on Saturdays called Breakfast with the Works. This is child geared and we decided to give it a try. However, it begins at 7:00 am! So our alarm went off super early and we headed to the race track for breakfast and horses. It was a fun set up with lots of fun things for kids and there were kids everywhere. We had a great morning and Clark loved it- he ran around like a wild pony and talked about the horses the whole way home. It is defiantly something we will be doing again and was a great addition to our Spring Break adventures. Here are some pictures to show how much fun we had on an early Saturday morning.

Zoopendous Day.

Today was another great Spring Break day. Spring Break is such a tease, making me long for summer when there will be so many more days like this one. Days that include me and my boy enjoying the day with good friends and no real agenda. Today we made the short trip to the Cincinnati Zoo with our friends Ginny and Jack. We arrived to quite the crowd and a long line to get in, but once we were in it was a great day. Our first stop was the elephants. These boys talked about elephant poop the whole ride up. I know, I know HOW GROSS. But they did, it was quite funny. It was all Jack talked about so they were very excited to see the elephants when we walked in and began looking for any poop they could find. Oh the joys of little boys! We hit all the high spots- we saw lions, bears, monkeys, lizards and birds. We did not however see the giraffes. There was a new baby giraffe born recently at the zoo and the line to see the giraffes was something this momma was not up for, so we told the boys the giraffes were sleeping and moved on to something else. I do wish we could have gotten a peek at that sweet little one- o well. We visited all the animals and all the bathrooms. We stayed about 3 hours because that was as long as our tummys would let us. We were so hungry and the lines to get food were outrageous. We said goodbye to the zoo and headed to get some food. We had a great time, the weather was great and I really loved seeing the boys interact with all the animals and each other. Nearly 3 is such a fun age- in case you were wondering. The Snyders at The Masters.

Yesterday was a good day. Stuart and I spent the day at Augusta National together- just the two of us. Well, the two of us plus about 10,000 other people and these two babies that go everywhere with me. We had a fantastic day. We woke up early, had a nice breakfast at the hotel and made our way to the course. We parked and followed the droves of people to the gate. I decided to leave my purse in the car, so we were armed with our chairs, camera, lip gloss and zofran. It was super chilly and I had on flip flops. I was a little concerned as we were walking in with people in ear muffs and gloves and I have on a dress and flip flops. We decided they must have been from Florida, because I survived and it warmed up quickly. The sun did come out and I have the sunburned ankles and feet to prove it- OUCH! It took a little bit to get through security. I must say I was impressed with the level of security. We are talking metal detectors and empty pockets. I was a little nervous to put my precious zofran in the bowl in hopes it would not get lost in the check. But no worries- we made it through with all our stuff. 

Once we were in we just took it all in. Of course Stuart wanted to show me all the holes and tell me all about big events that happened at each hole. Like- "Look Abby, that is where so and so hit the ball in 1987 to win the title." I really have no idea what he was talking about half the time, but loved that he knew so much and loved that he was enjoying showing me all these things that he loved.  I however kept an eye out for famous people and the nearest restrooms! We walked the whole course and saw the major high spots. We then grabbed a snack and a beverage and walked around again. I don't think I was too whiny but you will have to confirm that with the mister. At about lunch time we grabbed some sandwiches and found a spot at Amen Corner(This is where I acquired said sunburn.)  to sit for a few hours and watch the groups come through. I loved the fact that sandwiches were only $1.50. Nothing was overpriced and the two of us enjoyed lunch for less than $10.00. I was able to get some good pictures and I did enjoy just sitting and watching.

Once the last group made their way through and there was a lull we decided to make our way to the front nine to see who we could find. We walked around for a little while longer before making our way to the front. As we walked up to the practice range we saw lots of big names just making their way out. I made my way to the front row by the ropes and got to snapping. As I was standing there Tiger walked right in front of me out of no where. I then was surrounded by people, but stood my ground in the front row and continued to take pictures. I took hundreds. I told Stuart- as cheesy as it sounds that I felt like I was on safari trying to get the right picture. It was very fun for me. I really think I would enjoy being part of the paparazzi! ha! I don' have the best camera and it was VERY windy. So keeping a steady hand was so difficult and I was pretty pleased with some of the pictures. Finally when I was done playing photog we made one last stop at the gift shop. This might have been the worst part of the day! It was SOOOOOOO crowded. My anxiety was in full force. We did manage to pick up a few cute things for C and Stuart got what he wanted. But in the mix of the people and me trying to get the heck out of there alive we did forget to pick up anything for my dad or brother. DARN IT. But on a positive note we made it out alive. We left the course at about 3:00 and pulled in our driveway at 11:00 last night. It was an amazing day- a long day but so much fun. Here are some of the pictures from our Masters adventure.

Doubly Blessed.

Stuart and I are in Augusta, GA tonight and we are headed to The Masters tomorrow to watch a practice round. I am pretty sure Stuart just brought me along to take good pictures, but it should be a fun day. We are hoping the rain holds out- while we are there at least! But before we left town this morning we had a doctor's appointment. Where we got to see our sweet babies again. Yes, that is right I said BABIES- as in plural.

WE ARE EXPECTING TWINS!!

We have known this news since our first appointment where we were a little shocked, very excited and totally overwhelmed. I have been waiting to share the news until we got to see them one more time.  We are 12 weeks and we got that chance today. We got to see them both, hear their heartbeats and were reassured that both of our sweeties are growing at great rates with strong heartbeats. We were amazed to watch them move around, wave to the camera and one even kicked the other while we were watching. It was absolutely amazing. I could have stayed on that table all week and watched those two. I have plenty more to share, but I am worn out and tomorrow will be here soon. It's Official.

SCHOOOOOOOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER SPRING BREAK!

Today is the first official day of my Spring Break and I could not be more happy about it. It is 9:00 in the morning and I am the only one up in this house. My guys are still in bed. Even this one:

Someone does not appreciate that the sun is shining this morning!

This week I hit the 12 week mark in our pregnancy and I am hoping that means more energy and less sickness because we have things planned like a birthday party, a doctor's appointment (with ultrasound-yay!), Stuart and I are headed to Georgia to watch the practice round of The Masters, many days of sleeping in, a trip to the zoo and possibly cleaning and organizing this house to put it on the market. I am so glad to be off this entire week. I hope to also spend some time blogging, shopping and at least one full days in pjs!

Today all that is on the agenda is a meeting with a realtor, a pedicure with my friend Mindy, and watching our WILDCATS win big tonight.
